Updates!

It's been a while since I last updated the blog, so here goes!

R is settling nicely in the Caribe. She is the proud owner of a 1990 Toyota Corolla. It's old, but it drives great. She no longer has to bum rides from her colleagues, and is once again in the driver's seat of her destiny. Moreover, it's an automatic, which is a great relief to me, as I was not relishing learning to drive a stick at the same time I'd be learning to drive on the other side of the road!

She likes the school, the island and the people. She seems very at peace.

She has a cell phone and a landline - email me if you want her numbers! Soon she will have internet at home and you can Skype her to your hearts content. While she was at school last week, we Skyped and played Internet Scrabble simultaneously. It was the next best thing to being in the same room!

My classes all started this past week. Everything is going really well, and I'm excited about the new semester.

So far, I'm keeping up with the New Years resolutions, so we'll see how long that lasts.
