08 March 2005

Raining. Sleeting. Snow.

It's not that bad out, really, but you wouldn't know it to talk to some folks around here!
"Storm Watch '05" continues, working Mainers into a veritable frenzy. My night class was cancelled AGAIN this week. That's two weeks in a row. Yoga was cancelled (and Raf was on 14 day run)!

And for what? A tiny bit of white stuff?

Has living in Alaska just buffed up our sense of the term "storm" or "bad weather," or are the New Englanders we live among truly the ones who never ventured west?

I propose that all of this whining is really just an extension of the inherited provincialism found in these parts.

So batten down the hatches. We're supposed to get three inches tonight.
